  • I-80: Runs east–west across the southern part of the state (from Utah border to Nebraska border). 

  • I-90: Enters from the north (Montana border) and goes southeast toward Gillette, then east to South Dakota. 

  • I-25: Runs north–south through the eastern side, passing through Cheyenne, Casper, Buffalo. 

  • I-180: A spur in Cheyenne. 

  • U.S. 287: A diagonal route through Wyoming, serving Laramie, Rawlins, Lander, etc. 

  • U.S. 14, 16, 20: serving connections across the north and into Yellowstone / Rocky Mountain areas. 

  • State highways like Wyoming Highway 70, 212, etc. For example, WY 70 (Battle Pass Scenic Byway) links Baggs to Riverside, and is often closed in winter. 

  • Cheyenne Frontier Days: Perhaps the most famous. A 10-day rodeo, concerts, parades and Western culture celebration held in late July. Known as “The Daddy of ’em All.” 

  • Riverton Rendezvous & Balloon Rally: A hot air balloon festival in Riverton in July. 

  • Chris LeDoux Days (Kaycee): Celebrates country singer and rodeo champion Chris LeDoux — includes rodeo events and concerts. 

  • Jackson Hole – Old West Days: In Jackson, a multi-day “Old West Days” featuring parades, rodeos, heritage events. 

  • Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival: In September, with art shows, gallery events, artists’ displays. 

  • Laramie Jubilee Days: Held in Laramie, often early July — combines music, rodeo, community events. 

  • Casper festivals: Casper has several, such as Casper Balloon Roundup, Beartrap Summer Festival, Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo. 

  • Food & drink / cultural festivals: Wyoming also hosts brewery festivals, BBQ & bluegrass events, wine festivals, etc. 

  • Local & niche events: Chugwater Chili Cook-Off & Roundup, Jackson Hole Scottish Festival,

Generally continental/semi-arid, strongly influenced by elevation and geography.
