  • Interstate 5 (I‑5): Runs the full length of California north‑south from the Mexican border at San Diego up to the Oregon line. It connects major cities like San Diego, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Redding.

  • Interstate 405 (I‑405): Auxiliary interstate in Southern California; bypass/alternative to parts of I‑5 around Los Angeles and connects many suburbs and airports. 

  • Interstate 205 (I‑205): Connects I‑580 to I‑5 near Tracy. Important for traffic to the Bay Area and access to inland areas.
